The sound of Jeff Allen is uniquely influenced yet distinctively individual. He became classically trained on piano in his early years, and gradually developed a style that combined the contemporary flavor of the acoustic piano with the modern electronic revolution. His formal music studies included the renowned Chicago Conservatory of Music, Purdue University and The Munster Conservatory of Music, and was privately tutored for 8 years under the legendary Florian Bolsega. His early years found him "looping the piano bars" and pulling all-night recording sessions to finance his growing appetite for affluence and recognition. In 1981, he was contracted by the acclaimed Walter Kane Agency in Las Vegas, and hit the casino showroom circuit. After 18 months of "dusk to dawn" appearances in the City of Lights, it was on to the national touring circuit. He was contracted with such acts as The Hounds, Joker, Roberta Flack, Neil Sedaka, Peter Blakeley, etc...and a slew of diversified groups throughout the eighties.
Considered one of the most versatile of keyboardists available, he has performed at major events across the globe including; the International Consumer Electronics Show, Tokyo International Forum, The Taste of Chicago, the San Bernardino Summer Theater Festival, the Detroit Auto Show, the Miss America Pageant, the Republican National Convention, etc...In addition, he performs regularly for major corporate entities including GTE, Delta Airlines, Microsoft, AIG, Honeywell, CitiGroup, Intel, & Dial Corp.
He has over 4,000 performances to his credit and has performed throughout Europe, Asia, Japan, the South Pacific, and the United States.
Originally from the Chicago area, Jeff Allen now resides in the upscale desert community of Paradise Valley Arizona, pursuing a more moderate and conservative lifestyle as a high-end solo performer.
